Religion. NOT science. Evolutionists have a pious air to their voice when they announce this topic as the cutting edge in research. But I submit to you that evolution is not a science. Evolution is simply an excuse to live your life anyway you please and here is why:

First let’s define our term religion taken from Dictionary.com:

  • A specific fundamental set of beliefs and practices generally agreed upon by a number of persons or sects: the Christian religion; the Buddhist religion.
  • A set of beliefs concerning the cause, nature, and purpose of the universe, esp. when considered as the creation of a superhuman agency or agencies, usually involving devotional and ritual observances, and often containing a moral code governing the conduct of human affairs.

  1. Evolution tries to determine the “Cause” of the universe

    As seen in our definition posted earlier, this is one of the tenets of a religion. Evolution tries to answer the age old question of where did I come from? Most of the major religions claim, “In the beginning (g)God…” and some even claim some more interesting variations of this theme.

    But while a Christian like myself will claim by faith from the Bible that in the beginning an intelligent, all knowing, all powerful God made the universe in seven days, an evolutionist will claim that in the beginning dirt…or wait nothing , or was it a very tiny speck of nothing. Maybe it was an organic soup in the beginning or a rock or a super condensed particle that exploded. The “current” thinking on this changes every time I look it up.

    Not one scientist has ever provided proof for what’s known as “Cosmic” evolution – the beginning of time, matter, and the stuff that makes up the universe. They believe this on faith just like any other religion!

  2. Evolution tries to explain the “Meaning” of life

    Why am I here? Everyone has asked this question of themselves and it has haunted many men to their grave. Sometimes life seems to have no apparent purpose, but there is! The Bible tells us that the purpose of our life is to glorify the living God. To serve him, walk with him, and be his friend like Abraham was in the Bible (James 2:23). That is why every single person was created. For someone who wants to live apart from God (and more importantly His rules!) will not like to adopt this purpose for his life. (Rev. 4:11)

    Instead, evolution offers a different purpose. In fact we are all just animals, operating on instincts with no real identifiable purpose. The most noble goal is to satisfy oneself, and become the fittest at the expensive of others so that your genes may propagate to future generations. This is a self pleasing world view that many people are all to easy to adopt as it justifies their immoral appetites.

  3. Evolution re-writes morality

    This is probably the biggest reason why evolution is really just a religion of convenience and NOT a science. You see evolution doesn’t take some scientific data or make a measurement and proclaim a moral code. In fact, evolution claims that there is no morality. It just doesn’t exist. Do what feels good because there are no rules.

    If evolution is true, what is to stop me from stealing food from my neighbor so that he starves to death? I am obviously more fit to survive than my neighbor right? Evolution claims that we can all make our own rules and this is very palatable for people who would rather not live by God’s moral standard.

    Since evolution makes a claim at the human moral code it has launched itself into the category of religion and NOT science. Sorry.

  4. Evolution attempts to explain the after-life

    The Bible is very clear on this one. One day we will all be judged by an almighty God who will declare our works and find us all guilty by God’s moral standard.

    Evolution also makes a claim at this clearly religious belief. The evolutionist believes that there is no soul and therefore no eternity. More importantly there is no judgment day! Since we will not have to give an account of our actions here on earth, why should you stop lying, stealing, fornicating, swearing, drinking, and all other manner of ungodliness. Evolution is the religion of those who would rather not have their conscience pricked by their actions that violate the innate principles of right and wrong written on the heart of man at birth. (Rom 2:15 – Everyone is born with a conscience)

Is evolution your religion? If so, why? For many, it is because they may live their life however they see fit without fear of consequence. That is dangerous way to live!
