Well if you are a regular reader of this blog (doubtful!) you will notice that there has not been an update since March 12th. Well congratulations to me, I have just been married for about 2 months now and that is my excuse for sparse updates!

As a married man, I feel that I now have an inside look at some of the Bible commands regarding the marriage relationship.

Let me say this first. Building a marriage is not for the lazy or weak of character. I have discovered that on days when I am lacking in those two areas I am a pretty poor husband. Marriage is most definitely hard work and requires constant maintenance and planning to achieve desired results.

But also, marriage is a tremendous blessing! This is one relationship where there will be a definite increase proportional to the work put into it. I will never understand why the Lord blessed me with a wife, but I am extremely grateful.

1Pe 3:7  Likewise, ye husbands, dwell with them according to knowledge, giving honour unto the wife, as unto the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life; that your prayers be not hindered.

This verse is the subject of my post today. As a husband, I am required to dwell with my wife according to knowledge. I must make it my priority to learn about her, and know how she thinks, why she thinks it, and what everything she says and does means. Let me tell you even from limited experience, that takes work!
